Los mercados del sudeste asiático continuaron esta mañana la senda bajista, después de las fuertes pérdidas sufridas ayer en Wall Street, que registró un desplome del 5,53 por ciento.
En Filipinas, el índice PSEI de la bolsa de valores de Manila abrió con un recorte de 70,40 puntos, el 3,82 por ciento, y se situó en las 1.771,93 unidades.
En Indonesia, el indicador compuesto JKSE del mercado de Yakarta restó 25,64 enteros, el 2,22 por ciento, y comenzó a negociar en los 1.129,33 puntos.
En Vietnam, el índice VNIndex de la plaza bursátil de Ciudad Ho Chi Minh (antigua Saigón) perdió 5,05 unidades, el 1,55 por ciento, hasta los 320,69 enteros.
En Tailandia, el índice SET del parqué de Bangkok abrió en 388,53 enteros tras perder 5,32 puntos, el 1,35 por ciento.
En Singapur, el índice Straits Times de la ciudad-estado recortó 19,41 puntos en la apertura, el 1,20 por ciento, que lo dejaron en las 1.594,54 unidades.
En Malasia, el selectivo KLCI de la plaza bursátil de Kuala Lumpur descontó 10,37 unidades, equivalentes al 1,20 por ciento, y arrancó en 854,95 enteros.
En cuanto a las divisas de la región, sus cotizaciones por unidad de dólar se situaron a principios de la jornada en:

Peso filipino 50,07
Ringit malasio 3,62
Bat tailandés 35,25
