La Policía ha comenzado a primera hora de esta mañana a trasladar al juzgado de instrucción número 2 de El Ejido (Almería) a los detenidos en la operación "Poniente" que investiga una presunta trama de corrupción en el Ayuntamiento de esta localidad.
Según han informado a EFE fuentes de la Comisaría de Policía Nacional, los detenidos están siendo trasladados para que declaren ante la titular de ese juzgado, Montserrat Peña.
Los interrogatorios se prolongarán hasta mañana, según las citadas fuentes.
La Policía Nacional detuvo ayer a veinte personas, entre ellas el alcalde de El Ejido, Juan Enciso (PAL), en una operación contra el blanqueo de capitales que se ha desarrollado en Almería, Madrid, Sevilla y El Ejido, cuyo ayuntamiento ha sido registrado.
La operación se saldó con la detención de veinte personas y los registros de sus domicilios, así como de las sedes de doce sociedades, la Empresa Mixta de Servicios Municipales SA (El Sur) y el Ayuntamiento de El Ejido, ha informado la Fiscalía General del Estado.
A los detenidos se les imputan los delitos continuados de blanqueo de capitales, malversación de caudales públicos, cohecho, tráfico de influencias y falsedad en documento mercantil.
