La Comunidad Valenciana fue la autonomía que tuvo los mayores porcentajes de hogares afectados por problemas de ruido y contaminación, y Madrid presentó la mayor tasa de hogares con problemas de delincuencia y vandalismo en su zona de residencia.
Según una Encuesta de Condiciones de Vida, hecha hoy pública por el INE, en 2008 algo más del 15 por ciento de los hogares padecía problemas de delincuencia y vandalismo en sus zonas de residencia, el 13,2 de contaminación y otros problemas medioambientales, casi el 22 por ciento sufría ruidos procedentes de sus vecinos o de la calle y el 6 por ciento una insuficiente luz natural.
Navarra y Extremadura fueron las comunidades autónomas con menores porcentajes de hogares con contaminación y Cantabria y Asturias en delincuencia o vandalismo en la zona.
Los mayores problemas por una luz natural insuficiente se localizaron en la Comunidad Valenciana, Baleares y Cataluña.
El siguiente cuadro recoge por comunidades autónomas el porcentaje de hogares que tiene una luz natural insuficiente, los afectados por ruidos producidos por vecinos o procedentes de la calle, por contaminación y otros problemas ambientales y por delincuencia o vandalismo, según la encuesta del INE:
