El secretario de Estado de Economía, José Manuel Campa, dijo hoy que el Gobierno y los agentes sociales deben continuar el proceso "reformista" para acelerar la creación de empleo ante unos datos del paro, que calificó de "históricamente altos".
Campa indicó en rueda de prensa que la tasa de desempleo del 21,29 % en el primer trimestre del año, que situó el número total de desempleados en 4.910.200 personas, es un dato "negativo" que debe "acelerar" las reformas en el mercado laboral.
Puntualizó que es "fundamental" que los agentes sociales "persistan" en pactar una reforma de la negociación colectiva "cuanto antes" y que tenga "contenido" porque ayudará en la recuperación del empleo.
El secretario de Estado no quiso concretar si el número de parados ha tocado techo, pero precisó que la EPA del primer trimestre tradicionalmente refleja "los peores datos del año", por lo que confió en que la recuperación del empleo se produzca de forma "sostenida" en el segundo semestre del año, aunque será "débil".
Señaló que el sector servicios y el del turismo tendrán un "papel importante" en la reestructuración del sistema productivo de la economía.
