El ministro del Interior, Alfredo Pérez Rubalcaba, ha asegurado hoy que su departamento continuará la investigación interna para determinar si la actuación de la Guardia Civil fue correcta en el caso de la clínica Isadora y que se depurarán las oportunas responsabilidades administrativas.
Así lo ha asegurado el ministro en declaraciones a la Ser, preguntado por una información de El País que asegura que un juez de Madrid ha archivado el caso contra la clínica por considerar que no hay indicios de que practicara abortos fuera de la legalidad y que la Guardia Civil manipuló la realidad "de modo, cuando menos, oblicuo y torticero".
Pérez Rubalcaba ha recordado que cuando, en su momento, se conocieron las actuaciones de la Guardia Civil en relación con la clínica Isadora, el Ministerio del Interior abrió una información reservada, que dejó en suspenso hasta que hubiera un auto judicial definitivo, que en este caso ha sido de archivo.
La vía judicial ha terminado, ha agregado Pérez Rubalcaba, por lo que ahora corresponde "continuar la información reservada y depurar las oportunas responsabilidades administrativas, que es exactamente lo que vamos a hacer".
En abril de 2008, Interior abrió una investigación interna para determinar cómo había sido la actuación de la Guardia Civil en el caso.
Según informó entonces también El País, la Guardia Civil desobedeció la orden de un juez de Madrid de cerrar las pesquisas y siguió adelante con su investigación sobre la clínica.
