Irán acusó hoy de "injerencia en los asuntos internos" del país al secretario general de la ONU, Ban Ki-Moon, quien el lunes pidió la libertad para aquellos que protestan contra los resultados electorales del pasado 12 de junio.
"Sus declaraciones están en contra de las atribuciones de la secretaría general de la ONU y del derecho internacional, y constituyen un interferencia en los asuntos internos de Irán", dijo el portavoz del ministerio iraní de Asuntos Exteriores, Hasan Qashqavi.
"Con su intervención ha perdido credibilidad ante los ojos de los países independientes", agregó.
Ban Ki Moon pidió el lunes a las autoridades iraníes que pongan fin a los arrestos y a las medidas de fuerza contra miembros de la oposición que protestan contra el resultado de las elecciones presidenciales, que consideran fraudulentos.
Desde que se conocieran la polémica victoria del presidente Mahmud Ahmadineyad, Irán es escenario de protestas y disturbios que han llevado a centenares de personas a prisión y han causado al menos una veintena de muertos, según cifras oficiales.
