Miembros del Grupo Especial de Operaciones (GEOS) de la Policía Nacional han liberado esta madrugada en el término municipal de Almonte (Huelva) al empresario de Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Cádiz) Rafael Ávila, de 45 años, dieciséis días después de su desaparición en la localidad gaditana.
Según han informado a EFE fuentes de la Jefatura Superior de la Policía Nacional en Andalucía Occidental, el empresario se encontraba atado con cadenas en el interior de un chalet en Almonte y custodiado por dos personas que han sido detenidas.
En la operación especial se ha procedido además a la detención de dos personas en Sevilla que son consideradas los cabecillas del grupo que ha perpetrado el secuestro.
La Policía Nacional mantiene abierta la investigación en torno a este asunto, que inició a principios de mes, por lo que no se descarta que puedan producirse nuevas detenciones.
La desaparición de Ávila fue denunciada por su padre el pasado miércoles día 3 al no acudir el empresario a dormir a su casa.
