Siete comunidades autónomas (Asturias, Castilla y León, Aragón, Extremadura, Navarra, Castilla-La Mancha y Madrid) se encuentran en alerta amarilla (riesgo bajo) por nieve, mientras que Galicia y Murcia lo están por vientos costeros.
La Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (AEMET) ha activado la alerta amarilla ante la previsión de nevadas en la sierra de Madrid, donde se pueden acumular cinco centímetros de nieve.
La nieve afecta también a Huesca, donde, al igual que en Zaragoza, se espera que las precipitaciones acumulen 15 litros por metro cuadrado en una hora.
En la provincia de Huesca y también en la de Navarra la AEMET ha activado además la alerta ante el riesgo de aludes.
En Castilla y León están en alerta todas las provincias, salvo Valladolid, ante la previsión de que la nieve alcance diez centímetros de espesor.
También nieva en el norte de Cáceres y en las provincias de Guadalajara y Cuenca.
Por fuertes vientos costeros están en alerta Lugo, La Coruña y Pontevedra, así como Murcia y la provincia de Almería.
Además, la nieve obliga a utilizar cadenas en cinco puertos de montaña, uno de ellos de la red nacional, el de Cotafelo (Huesca), en la N-260; mantiene cerrada una carretera secundaria en Barcelona y dificulta la circulación en otras tres vías de Huesca.
