La Unión Cristianodemócrata Alemana (CDU) de la canciller Angela Merkel se propone impedir el reparto de millones de ejemplares gratuitos del Corán por el colectivo de salafistas, dentro de una campaña para difundir en Alemania el libro sagrado musulmán.
El vicepresidente del grupo parlamentario conservador, Günter Krings, llamó hoy a frenar lo que calificó de "acción propagandística agresiva" por parte de los salafistas, por considerar que detrás de eso hay una intención de captar seguidores. Según informaciones del semanario "Focus", este colectivo fundamentalista pretende repartir hasta 25 millones de ejemplares del Corán en Alemania, Austria y Suiza.
Los servicios secretos de Interior vienen observando los movimientos de los salafistas alemanes, que en las últimas semanas empezaron a regalar los libros en zonas peatonales de núcleos urbanos, especialmente en el populoso estado de "Renania del Norte-Westfalia".
El grupo podría repartir hasta 25 millones de ejemplares
El propósito declarado del colectivo es que en cada hogar haya un ejemplar del texto sagrado, independientemente de la religión que profesen sus miembros, aunque preferentemente se orientan a los no musulmanes.
En Alemania viven unos 3,5 millones de musulmanes, entre los cuales los salafistas forman una minoría de unos 2.500 miembros, según estimaciones de los servicios secretos alemanes. Estos mantienen en observación a dicho grupo radical islámico, entre cuyos objetivos prioritarios está el reclutamiento de nuevos militantes, especialmente jóvenes.
