El primer ministro italiano, Silvio Berlusconi, anunció hoy que Italia acometerá nuevas reformas económicas que han sido consensuadas con otros líderes de la Unión Europea (UE) y que acelerará la aplicación de algunos de los ajustes de su recientemente aprobado plan de austeridad.
En una rueda de prensa en la sede de la Presidencia del Gobierno en Roma, Berlusconi indicó que entre esas nuevas medidas está la introducción de la exigencia del equilibrio de las cuentas públicas en la Constitución de Italia, asunto que empezará a abordarse ya la semana que viene en el Parlamento.
