Frank De Boer, técnico del Ajax, reconoció que fueron "ingenuos" en el partido ante el Real Madrid en el que perdieron 3-0 y criticó que sus jugadores no frenasen los contraataques del Real Madrid con faltas sobre Cristiano Ronaldo.
"Me voy con una sensación agridulce. Hemos empezado bien pero ya había avisado que el Real Madrid es muy bueno en las contras. Recibir dos goles de esa forma hace que te vayas con raras sensaciones. Teníamos que haber sido más valientes", dijo.
"No se trata de hacer faltas para evitar este tipo de jugadas pero si ves a Ronaldo que da un tacón para Kaká, en ese momento hay que hacerle falta. En el suelo no recibe el balón más adelante. En la segunda parte nos pasó lo mismo. Es una lección bastante dura. Hay que parar al rival de cualquier modo. Hemos sido ingenuos", añadió.
Elogió De Boer el nivel que mostró el brasileño Kaká. "Fue el mejor jugador del mundo y es un grande, pero todavía no ha demostrado mucho en Madrid. Su calidad no se pierde. Ha demostrado hoy sus cualidades. Tenía mucha libertad y ha demostrado estar muy rápido. Sabíamos antes que con Kaká, Ozil y Cristiano tienen velocidad al contragolpe. Lo han demostrado".
Por último, admitió como justa la derrota aunque piensa que debieron marcar algún tanto. "Mostramos buenas cualidades pero fuimos ingenuos. Es una buena experiencia pero es cara".
"Jugadores como Kaká y Ozil son tan rápidos con el balón y saben el momento en que jugarlo. Nosotros no tenemos esos jugadores. Estábamos ante uno de los mejores equipos del mundo ante el que hicimos buen fútbol y merecimos marcar aunque ellos merecieron ganar", concluyó.
