El euro perdió hoy posiciones y cayó por debajo de la marca de los 1,56 dólares porque los inversores consideran que han disminuido los riesgos para la economía estadounidense.
Hacia las 16.45 horas GMT, la moneda única se cambiaba a 1,5605 dólares, frente a los 1,5841 dólares de ayer por la tarde.
Por su parte, el Banco Central Europeo (BCE) fijó hoy el cambio oficial del euro en 1,5660 dólares.
La reducción de la aversión al riesgo de los inversores llevó a la apreciación del billete verde frente al euro y al yen.
Al mismo tiempo, el dólar recibió impulsos de la mejora del índice de gestores de compras del sector manufacturero de EEUU en marzo hasta 48,6 puntos, frente a los 48,3 puntos de febrero.
La experta en divisas del banco alemán Commerzbank Antje Praefcke dijo que los inversores vendieron euros tras conocer las depreciaciones del banco alemán Deutsche Bank y del suizo UBS.
El pasado 17 de marzo el euro batió un récord frente al billete verde en 1,5906 dólares pero en las últimas dos semanas perdió algunas posiciones.
La banda de fluctuación en que osciló hoy el euro fue muy amplia y se situó entre los 1,5564 y los 1,5795 dólares.
