Rusia reanudará en los próximos la importación de las verduras europeas suspendidas con motivo del brote infeccioso con la bacteria "E.Coli" en Alemania, declaró hoy el embajador de la Unión Europea en Rusia, Fernando Valenzuela.
"Puede que en un día o dos los suministros lleguen a la aduana de Rusia", señaló Valenzuela, quien consideró que el conflicto de las verduras está solucionado.
"De momento la entrada de las verduras no se ha reanudado. Se necesita tiempo", aclaró el diplomático europeo.
La Unión Europea y Rusia firmaron ayer el acuerdo que permite la vuelta de las verduras europeas al mercado ruso.
Rusia puso dos condiciones: el certificado de origen de cada cargamento y que la Comisión Europea transmita la lista de entidades reguladoras nacionales que certificarán que los productos no estarán contaminados la bacteria "E.Coli".
"El acuerdo entró en vigor en el momento en que la Unión Europea ofreció la lista de entidades, lo cual sucedió ayer", precisó Valenzuela.
El representante europeo calificó de "desproporcionado" el veto de Rusia a las verduras europeas y recordó que fue el único país que procedió de esta forma.
"No pretendemos contradecir el derecho de las autoridades a tomar medidas preventivas cuando hay riesgo de contagio, pero éstas deben ser proporcionales a una base científica, lo que no se ha dado en este caso", dijo.
