El comité de expertos de la Unesco comenzó hoy en la isla indonesia de Bali a evaluar 38 nuevas propuestas, presentadas por veinte países, para su inclusión en la Lista Representativa de Patrimonio Inmaterial.
Entre las solicitudes para engrosar la lista están el saber de los chamanes jaguares de Yurupari en Colombia, la peregrinación al santuario del Señor de Qoyllurit'i de Perú, la música mariachi mexicana, la festividad española 'La Mare de Déu de la Salut' de Algemesí, la fiesta de patios de Córdoba (España) y el fado portugués.
Fuentes de la organización no descartan que las deliberaciones de se alarguen dos o tres días dado el abultado número de solicitudes.
Estaba previsto que los especialistas estudiasen 49 candidaturas, sin embargo China, Mongolia, Francia, Omán y Turquía decidieron retirar alguna de sus propuestas en las últimas horas ante la falta de consenso.
El comité ha aprobado desde el pasado 22 de noviembre, once nuevas incorporaciones a la Lista del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial que precisa protección urgente, como los rezos cantados Eshuva de la etnia peruana Huachipaire y el rito Yaokwa del pueblo indígena brasileño Enawene Nawe.
Asimismo, ha designado cinco nuevos programas que formarán parte del Registro de Prácticas Idóneas de Salvaguarda tales como el Museo Viviente del Fandango y el fomento de proyectos del programa nacional de Patrimonio Inmaterial, ambos de Brasil, así como la revitalización del saber tradicional de la elaboración de la cal artesanal de Morón de la Frontera, en España.
