La gigante francesa de telecomunicaciones Vivendi aumentó su participación en la brasileña GVT al 59,4 por ciento del capital total, u 81,5 millones de acciones ordinarias, informó la empresa el viernes.
La participación de Vivendi en GVT, incluyendo opciones de compra aún no ejercidas, es ahora de un 71,3 por ciento.
"El objetivo de Vivendi con el aumento de la participación es consolidar su control accionario de GVT", afirmó la compañía.
El 13 de noviembre Vivendi anunció un acuerdo para asumir el control de GVT, poniendo fin a una batalla con la española Telefónica por el activo en Brasil.
En su oferta vencedora, el grupo francés se dispuso a pagar 56 reales por acción de GVT, contra los 50,50 reales ofrecidos por Telesp, unidad brasileña de Telefónica.
Vivendi hará una oferta pública de adquisición de acciones de GVT en circulación en el mercado.
