La Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España anunció este martes en su Twitter que publicará una nuevas bases para los próximos premios Goya. La principal novedad es que a partir de 2012 los menores de 16 años no podrán optar a estos premios.
La Academia explica sus razones en la red social : 'Los niños que ganaban un Goya pasaban a ser miembros activos de la Academia, lo que implica circunstancias legales no exigibles a un menor'.
Una portavoz ha sido más concreta al hablar con Publico.es: 'Al recibir un Goya te conviertes automáticamente en miembro de la Academia. Eso implica tener que votar y pagar una cuota anual, y con los niños eso es difícil.' ¿Y no se puede recibir un Goya sin tener que convertirse en miembro de la Academia? 'No. Ahora mismo esa opción no se contempla'.
Precisamente, en la última edición de los Goya, los niños Francesc Colomer, nacido en 1997, y Marina Comas, en 1996, se hicieron con el galardón a mejores intérpretes revelación por Pa negre. Con la nueva normativa ellos no hubiera resultado premiados.
No son los únicos: desde el año 2000 tres niños más —aparte de los de Pa Negre— han recibido un Goya por sus interpretaciones: Juan José Ballesta, de 13 años, lo recibió en 2001 por El Bola, Ivana Baquero, se lo llevó con 12 años en 2007 por El laberinto del fauno; una edad similar tenía en 2009 la niña Nerea Camacho, cuando fue premiada por Camino. Otro niño que también hicieron fortuna en los Goya a temprana edad fue Andoni Eruburu, por Secretos del corazón.
La otra novedad reseñable en las nuevas bases es el cambio en la categoría de mejor película hispanoamericana, que pasará a denominarse mejor película iberoamericana y se abrirá así a la lengua portuguesa al englobar a Portugal y Brasil.
