El consejero de Interior del Gobierno Vasco, Rodolfo Ares, ha asegurado que es "radicalmente falsa" la acusación que vierte ETA en un comunicado publicado en Gara, donde responsabiliza a los gobiernos español y francés de la desaparición de su militante Jon Anza.
En una entrevista en ETB, Ares ha explicado que según la información que le han facilitado, esa acusación "es radicalmente falsa".
El consejero de Interior ha manifestado que "el Gobierno vasco utilizará todos los elementos del Estado de Derecho a su alcance para combatir el terrorismo, pero además, arriesgará para liderar a la sociedad vasca en contra de ETA y liderar la rebelión cívica y ciudadana para que no se sientan cómodos quienes amparan y justifican a los terroristas y sientan el desprecio del conjunto de la sociedad".
Ha señalado que "buscará con el Ministerio del Interior todos los mecanismos que permitan garantizar el mejor trabajo de la Ertzaintza y la mejor coordinación con la policía española y la Guardia Civil y con la policía francesa", incluida la posibilidad de integrar a la policía vasca en el espacio policial europeo de Schengen en la lucha contra el terrorismo.
En la misma línea se ha expresado el ministro del Interior, Alfredo Pérez Rubalcaba, quien ha tachado de "patraña" el comunicado de ETA
"Por lo que se refiere a las Fuerzas de Seguridad francesas y españolas, una patraña", respondió Rubalcaba.
