El ex presidente del Gobierno José María Aznar ha defendido hoy en San Sebastián la necesidad de "derrotar a ETA", para lo que se deben "rechazar engaños", y "asegurar" que la organización terrorista "y sus cómplices" queden "definitivamente fuera de las instituciones democráticas que quieren destruir".
Aznar ha intervenido en un acto de homenaje al dirigente del PP en Guipúzcoa Gregorio Ordóñez, de cuyo asesinato a manos de ETA se han cumplido hoy 15 años, y ha recordado que hace cinco años en este mismo homenaje ya advirtió de que la única política antiterrorista posible era la que busca la derrota de la banda.
El ex presidente, quien antes del acto ha acudido al responso celebrado en el cementerio de Polloe ante la tumba de Ordóñez, ha valorado el acuerdo de gobierno que su partido mantiene con el PSE/EE en el País Vasco, que ha calificado de "acontecimiento esperanzador".
En el transcurso de este acto, en el que ha participado también el cónsul Javier Rupérez, la Fundación Gregorio Ordóñez ha entregado su premio anual a la asociación Dignidad y Justicia, que ha recogido su portavoz, Daniel Portero, quien ha advertido a los numerosos militantes y dirigentes del PP de que "no se fíen" de los socialistas.
