El déficit por cuenta corriente español bajó en marzo a 4.334 millones de euros, un descenso del 34,6 por ciento respecto al mismo mes del año anterior, según datos divulgados el lunes por el Banco de España.
El Banco de España atribuyó la mejora en marzo entre otros factores a la disminución del déficit de la balanza de rentas y al aumento del superávit de servicios, mientras que el déficit comercial se incrementó por el aumento de los precios energéticos.
En los tres primeros meses de 2010, el déficit por cuenta corriente bajó un 20,9 por ciento a 17.439 millones de euros.
El saldo agregado de la cuenta corriente y la de capital en los primeros tres meses del año reflejó una necesidad de financiación de la economía española en el extranjero de 15.761 millones de euros, una mejora del 25 por ciento sobre el mismo periodo del año anterior.
