La Policía Nacional ha detenido en Almería a M.U., de 25 años, acusado de tráfico de drogas, atentado a agente de la autoridad, falsedad documental, usurpación e infracción a la Ley de Extranjería, tras la intervención de 107 botones rellenos con cocaína, que sumaron 500 gramos de esta sustancia estupefaciente.
La operación realizada en colaboración con las autoridades británicas y Europol, ha permitido interceptar un envío procedente del Reino Unido, según una nota de la Policía Nacional.
La detención se ha producido dentro del marco de la operación que comenzó a finales del mes pasado, cuando se tuvo conocimiento de la llegada de un envío procedente de Venezuela y con destino a Roquetas de Mar.
Entonces se estableció un dispositivo encaminado a comprobar si el destinatario era el indicado y detener a la persona encargada de recoger el paquete.
El arrestado, en cuyas pertenencias se halló un pasaporte falsificado, llegó agredir a un agente e intentó huir, siendo alcanzado y reducido tras una persecución poco después.
La operación ha sido desarrollada por el Grupo I de Estupefacientes de la Udyco perteneciente a la Brigada de Policía Judicial de la Comisaría de Almería.
