La comprensión lectura de los alumnos españoles ha mejorado en la última Evaluación Internacional de Estudiantes de la OCDE (PISA 2009) en comparación con 2006, pues se sitúa al nivel de 2003, aunque por debajo del año 2000, mientras que los resultados en matemáticas y ciencias se mantienen "estables".
Según los datos de la evaluación de 2009, presentados hoy, España alcanza 481 puntos en lectura, aunque por debajo del promedio de 493 de la OCDE, en tanto que consiguió 461 en 2006; también 481 en 2003 y 493 en 2000.
Entre las 14 CCAA participantes, Murcia está prácticamente en la media española, y por debajo se encuentran Andalucía, Baleares y Canarias, además de Ceuta y Melilla.
El principal "lastre" de los resultados españoles es la repetición, que alcanza al 36 por ciento de los alumnos.
