El suizo Roger Federer, cuatro veces ganador del torneo de Halle, venció hoy al alemán Nicolas Kiefer por 6-1 y 6-4 y se clasificó para disputar de nuevo la final de esta competición, previa a Wimbledon.
Federer ganó en solo 65 minutos, y ahora se enfrentará en la final contra el vencedor del encuentro entre el estadounidense James Blake, segundo favorito, y el alemán Philip Kohlschreiber.
Fiel a su promesa de recuperar su juego nada más pisar la hierba, hecha tras perder la final de Roland Garros ante el español Rafael Nadal el pasado domingo, Federer se ha colocado en la última instancia de Halle sin ceder un solo set.
El número uno del mundo mantuvo su servicio inabordable, logrando siete saques directos, y desbaratando las cuatro ocasiones de las que dispuso Kiefer para romper. Además rompió el servicio a su rival tres veces.
