El filósofo Manuel Reyes Mate, profesor de Investigación del CSIC, ha ganado hoy el Premio Nacional de Ensayo, dotado con 20.000 euros, con su obra "La herencia del olvido", en la que reflexiona sobre el papel político que la memoria debe jugar.
Concedido por el Ministerio de Cultura, este galardón reconoce el mejor libro de este género publicado a lo largo de 2008 en español o en cualquiera de las otras lenguas cooficiales.
El jurado ha estado presidido por el director general del Libro, Rogelio Blanco, y han formado también parte de él Xose Ramón Barreiro, Xabier Altzibar, Jordi Llovet, Antonio Gómez Rufo, Juana Vázquez Marín, Fernando Broncano, Eduardo Sanmartín, Margarita Rivière y los autores galardonados en 2007 y 2008, José María González García y Justo Beramendi, respectivamente.
