Un incendio ha quemado una decena de casas en la pedanía de Membrillera, perteneciente a Jadraque, a unos 55 kilómetros al norte de Guadalajara capital, sin causar víctimas, pero forzando la evacuación de unas 200 personas.
El incendio se originó sobre las 15:00 horas en unos rastrojos a unos 500 metros de Membrillera y debido al calor y al viento se ha propagado rápidamente y ha alcanzado a una decena de viviendas, algunas de ellas deshabitadas, según ha informado a Efe la alcaldesa de esa pedanía, Leopoldina Peinado.
En la extinción del incendio participan miembros de Protección Civil, bomberos de varias localidades, tres helicópteros de la comunidad de Castilla-La Mancha y varias avionetas.
La pedanía de Membrillera tiene una población censada de 150 habitante, pero alcanza el millar durante la época estival.
El incendio se originó por causas desconocidas en unos rastrojos, afectó a varios árboles y rápidamente se propagó hasta alcanzar a una decena de viviendas que se han visto afectadas por el fuego.
Peinado ha señalado que a raíz del incendio han sido evacuadas unas 200 personas, algunas de las cuales se fueron con sus propios vehículos y otros en autobús hasta la cercana población de Jadraque, situada a 4,5 kilómetros de Membrillera.
La alcaldesa ha señalado que el fuego ha quedado aislado y está prácticamente controlado y se espera que las personas evacuadas puedan regresar a sus casas sobre las 21:30 horas de hoy.
