Josep Guardiola y su ayudante Tito Vilanova, que esta temporada han dirigido al Barça B, han firmado este mediodía el contrato que les permitirá hacerse cargo del primer equipo las dos próximas temporadas.
Casi un mes después de que el club anunciase que Guardiola sería el sustituto de Frank Rijkaard en el banquillo del conjunto azulgrana, ha llegado la hora de la firma.
Ambos técnicos se han pasado hoy por las oficinas del club, donde les esperaba el presidente, Joan Laporta, para formalizar su nuevo contrato. Sin embargo, no será hasta dentro de dos semanas cuando empiecen a dedicarse plenamente a su nueva tarea.
El Barça B sigue inmerso estos días en la lucha para conseguir el ascenso en Segunda B, y el domingo los hombres de Guardiola se juegan la ida de la segunda eliminatoria de ascenso contra el Barbastro.
El técnico de Barcelona ha reconocido, tras la firma, que no se esperaba un carrera tan meteórica en los banquillos ya que, en un año, ha pasado de ser un entrenador sin experiencia a hacerse cargo de uno de los equipos más importantes de Europa.
"Todo ha ido muy rápido. Hace poco decidí entrenar y, de repente, hoy hemos oficializado una cosa que el presidente ya hace unos días que anunció. Lo único que hemos hecho hoy es oficializarlo ante vosotros", ha declarado el ex futbolista azulgrana a la web del club.
Antes de tomar las riendas del primer equipo, Guardiola tiene el reto de superar la segunda eliminatoria de la fase de ascenso y hacer subir al filial.
