El importe de los efectos de comercio impagados por las familias y las empresas que operan en España sumó 1.354 millones de euros en abril, lo que supone el 11,7 por ciento menos que en el mismo mes de 2008 y el 21,7 por ciento menos que en marzo.
Según los datos publicados hoy por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), el número de efectos devueltos por impago ascendió a 480.065 en abril, el 2,4% menos que un año antes.
En abril hubo más de 9,24 millones de efectos vencidos, el 20% menos que en igual mes de 2008 y su importe fue de 21.721 millones de euros, el 34,9% menos.
El importe medio de los efectos de comercio impagados cayó el 9,5% en tasa interanual, hasta los 2.821 euros, en tanto que el importe medio de los efectos vencidos bajó el 18,6%, hasta los 2.350 euros.
Por entidades, el número de efectos impagados en abril disminuyó el 3,1% en las cajas de ahorro y el 3% en los bancos, mientras que aumentó el 9,9% en las cooperativas de crédito.
