Los principales sindicatos del Cuerpo Nacional de Policía han anunciado que interpondrán una querella contra el fiscal general, Cándido Conde-Pumpido, por declarar que la Policía no atienden las indicaciones de la Fiscalía General del Estado en los procedimientos contra ETA.
SUP, CEP, UFP y SPP consideran —en un comunicado conjunto— que las palabras de Pumpido son "el ataque más duro, temerario, desleal e injustificado que ha recibido la Policía en la democracia".
Los sindicatos policiales, quienes han recordado a Pumpido que "somos la institución más valorada de nuestro país y que más confianza merece", han acusado al fiscal general de imputar a 61.000 funcionarios "un comportamiento delictivo, especialmente en una materia tan sensible como la lucha antiterrorista".
"No estamos dispuestos a quedarnos de brazos cruzados mientras el titular de una de las más altas instituciones de nuestro país lanza sobre todo un Cuerpo una sospecha que nos injuria y calumnia", han continuado los sindicatos.
Los representantes policiales han instado al ministro del Interior, Alfredo Pérez Rubalcaba, así como a otros altos representantes de Seguridad del Estado, a que "salgan al paso en el caso de que alberguen un mínimo de lealtad o ética".
"Su silencio les convierte en cómplices", opinan los sindicatos, "quienes consideran las palabras del fiscal general de "responsables e injustas".
