Madrid 25 ago (EFE).- La portavoz del PP en el Congreso, Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría, ha pedido hoy la comparecencia de la vicepresidenta primera del Gobierno, María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, para que explique en septiembre las circunstancias que rodearon la liberación de los cooperantes españoles.
Así lo ha asegurado en una rueda de prensa en la que ha insistido que debe comparecer en sede parlamentaria para informar de las circunstancias en que se produjo la liberación y tomar medidas entre todos para evitar nuevos secuestros en el futuro.
Tras recordar que el Ejecutivo ha contado en todo momento con el apoyo del PP, Sáenz de Santamaría ha opinado que, una vez que los tres cooperantes han regresado a España, es el "momento idóneo" de explicar los términos en que se ha producido la liberación.
La portavoz del PP ha señalado que la vicepresidenta tendrá que explicar si se ha pagado un rescate o no, respecto a lo cual el presidente del Gobierno, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, "no ha dicho nada", aunque han aparecido informaciones en este sentido.
Preguntado por la foto en la que aparecen los cooperantes con su supuesto secuestrador en un coche, ha insistido en que esperará a conocer lo que diga la vicepresidenta para pronunciarse con conocimiento de causa.
