El presidente del Gobierno español, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, confió hoy en que el director del Centro Nacional de Inteligencia (CNI), Alberto Saiz, dé todas las explicaciones que "debe dar" para aclarar las acusaciones vertidas contra él sobre el uso de recursos del centro con fines privados.
En rueda de prensa en la capital de Nigeria, Rodríguez Zapatero fue preguntado sobre si mantiene su confianza en Saiz, que hoy comparece a puerta cerrada en el Congreso de los Diputados.
El jefe del Ejecutivo se limitó a señalar que la responsabilidad de su tarea es de todo el Gobierno y dijo que tiene la confianza como la tiene en todos los directores mientras estén en ese cargo.
"Va a dar todas las explicaciones; debe dar todas las explicaciones", apuntó Zapatero.
Antes de terminar su respuesta insistió: "espero y confío en que dé todas las explicaciones oportunas".
