El maestro suizo Roger Federer ha exhibido su mejor forma, demoliendo al número 10 del mundo, el tenista francés Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, por 6-2, 6-3 y 6-2 para avanzar a la final del Abierto de Australia.
El número uno del mundo se enfrentará al británico Andy Murray en la final del domingo, en una revancha para el británico de la final del Abierto de Estados Unidos de 2008, que ganó Federer.
El suizo, quien nunca se vio en problemas ante el atlético Tsonga, avanzó a su octava final consecutiva de grand slam y la 22º de su carrera. Ha ganado 15 de las anteriores 21.
El máximo favorito nunca dio una oportunidad al francés, usando una inteligente mezcla de toques profundos, ángulos y cambios de ritmo mientras se imponía con facilidad al finalista del Abierto de Australia de 2008 en apenas 88 minutos.
