Miles de personas participaron esta mañana en la manifestación que recorrió las calles del centro de Santiago de Compostela en protesta por las bases de la Xunta para un nuevo decreto del uso del gallego en la enseñanza no universitaria. En la marcha, que partió de la Alameda compostelana participaron los líderes de los dos grupos de la oposición: PSdeG, Manuel Vázquez, y BNG, Guillerme Vázquez.
La manifestación ha sido convocada por el colectivo Queremos galego! y está apoyada por los principales partidos políticos, a excepción del PPdeG.
También participaron la mayor parte de las centrales sindicales, así como por colectivos culturales y estudiantiles. Por otra parte, fuentes sindicales de CCOO y de la STEG indicaron a que la huelga en la enseñanza pública no universitaria convocada también para hoy ha sido secundada por el 90% del profesorado.
