La Plataforma de Mujeres ante el Congreso ha reclamado el aborto libre, fuera del Código Penal y en la sanidad pública y ha rechazado la reforma que prepara el Gobierno sobre la ley de interrupción voluntaria del embarazo.
En una concentración celebrada en la Plaza Tirso de Molina de Madrid, un centenar de personas, principalmente mujeres, han secundado esta iniciativa prevista para mostrar la "indignación por el anuncio del ministro de Justicia de restringir los supuestos en los que el aborto está despenalizado", ha explicado una de las portavoces, Laura Montero.
"Gallardón, dimisión" "Ni u,n paso atrás", "Educación sexual para evitar embarazos no deseados" y "Nosotras parimos, nosotras decidimos", han sido algunos de los lemas más coreados por las manifestantes.
La plataforma ha reiterado su petición de entrevistarse con el ministro de Justicia, Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón, para darle a conocer sus reivindicaciones en este ámbito. "Exigimos que el Estado garantice los derechos sexuales y reproductivos de las mujeres y su derecho a decidir sobre su cuerpo sin restricciones ni tutelajes", indica.
Las mujeres reclaman que se respeten por igual todos los motivos que pueden llevar a una mujer a decidir interrumpir su embarazo y opinan que la actual legislación "juzga a las mujeres y les deja en una situación de criminalización e indefensión".
"Denunciamos cualquier reforma de la actual legislación sobre el aborto que suponga un paso atrás en los derechos de las mujeres y exigimos, por el contrario, la despenalización del aborto voluntario y su inclusión efectiva en el Sistema Nacional de Salud", concluye la plataforma.
