El secretario de Salud Pública de la Generalitat y director del Institut Català de la Salut (ICS), Josep Maria Argimon, ha explicado que el ICS ha abierto un expediente a tres sanitarios que "invitaron" a sus familiares directos a la vacunación frente a la covid-19 cuando administraban dosis en una residencia de personas con discapacidad de Terres de l'Ebre (Tarragona).
"Es una noticia muy grave", ha lamentado Argimon este miércoles en rueda de prensa junto a la subdirectora general de Promoción de la Salud de la Generalitat, Carmen Cabezas, en la que ha defendido que cualquier situación de este tipo será sancionada.
Además de abrir un expediente, el director del ICS ha concretado que se ha apartado a estos profesionales sanitarios de su empleo y ha insistido en que cuando se despliega la vacunación en un centro la prioridad es "intentar vacunar al máximo" dentro de la residencia.
Asimismo, Argimon ha subrayado que se trata de un "hecho aislado" y ha destacado que en ningún momento representa al resto de trabajadores que participan en la primera etapa de la campaña de vacunación en la región sanitaria de Terres de l'Ebre.
"Estoy realmente afectado por esto", ha insistido el secretario, que ha reivindicado el trabajo de las coordinadoras de los 26 equipos que se desplazan a las residencias para la vacunación así como del personal que están doblando turnos para administrar las dosis.
Al ser preguntado por si estos familiares han recibido la vacuna, Argimon ha dicho que no entrará en detalles pero ha precisado que en el supuesto que hayan recibido la primera dosis también se les administrará la segunda.
