La Asociación Estatal de Víctimas de Accidentes (DIA) ha pedido al Gobierno que prorrogue la limitación de velocidad a 110 kilómetros por hora en autovías y autopistas, una decisión que previsiblemente se adoptará hoy en el Consejo de Ministros.
Además de prorrogar esta limitación de velocidad, DIA ha solicitado al Ejecutivo que elabore estudios sobre la incidencia "real" de la medida desde el punto de vista energético, medioambiental y de la seguridad vial, ya que sin contar con estos informes no se puede concluir que la medida ha sido negativa.
"Volver al anterior límite de 120 sería una decisión precipitada", ha afirmado en un comunicado la asociación, que considera que la norma de los 110 kilómetros por hora ha tenido un efecto "muy limitado sobre el consumo, la contaminación y la siniestralidad" al afectar solo a las autovías y autopistas, que suponen el diez por ciento del total de carreteras.
Por ello, la Asociación Estatal de Víctimas ha asegurado en un comunicado que "valora la posibilidad de pedir una reducción general de los límites de velocidad en todas las vías, urbanas e interurbanas, en 10 kilómetros por hora.
