Bono, el líder del grupo irlandés U2, que la semana pasada actuó en Barcelona, ha estado alojado durante quince días en una finca de Sant Andreu de Llavaneres.
El alcalde de esa localidad, Bernat Graupera (CiU), visitó al cantante en nombre del municipio y le garantizó la máxima confidencialidad y seguridad durante su estancia, según ha informado hoy el Ayuntamiento.
Graupera ha explicado que Bono se interesó por el municipio, dijo que la finca donde estaba alojado le recordaba mucho su casa por la proximidad con el mar y destacó el buen clima que se disfruta en la costa de la comarca del Maresme.
El alcalde de Sant Andreu de Llanaveres le obsequió con una "coca" típica del municipio.
"Le prometimos confidencialidad, pero no ha sido fácil", afirma el alcalde, que explica que "muchos medios tenían informaciones de que estaba en nuestro municipio y nos llamaban, pero no podíamos revelar dónde estaba (...), teníamos que garantizar su seguridad y lo hemos hecho".
Bernat Graupera comenta que se entrevistó con él durante más de media hora, en la que hablaron de Barcelona y de la crisis económica y cómo la afrontan aquí los municipios.
"Le gusta mucho Barcelona y también el Maresme en general", ha señalado el alcalde.
Además de Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, el líder de U2 también hizo alguna "escapada" a otros municipios del Maresme como Arenys de Mar, concretamente a un restaurante donde comió.
Los otros componentes del grupo musical se alojaron en Barcelona.
Otros cantantes famosos se han alojado en municipios de la comarca barcelonesa en los últimos años, como Madonna, que se alojó en una masía de Arenys de Munt el año 2001.
