La Constitución, que cumple su XXXII aniversario, recibirá hoy el homenaje que todos los años las instituciones y la clase política le dedican en el Congreso.
Como es tradicional, el acto central de celebración del Día de la Constitución tendrá lugar en el Palacio de las Cortes, con una recepción a la que están invitados representantes de las altas instituciones del Estado, junto a diputados y senadores.
El presidente del Gobierno, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, el líder de la oposición, Mariano Rajoy, ministros y destacadas autoridades estatales, autonómicas y municipales acudirán a mediodía al Congreso de los Diputados para participar en la celebración.
Antes, a las diez de la mañana, los presidentes del Congreso, José Bono, y del Senado, Javier Rojo, asistirán en la madrileña Plaza de Colón al acto solemne de izado de la bandera nacional.
Bono y Rojo se desplazarán después a Las Cortes para recibir a los invitados a la recepción, que se reunirán en el Salón de Conferencias, también llamado Salón de Pasos Perdidos.
Allí José Bono pronunciará un discurso, tras el cual se servirá un cóctel en el cual podrán participar todos los invitados.
Si se cumple la costumbre, el jefe del Gobierno y el líder del PP harán después unas declaraciones a los periodistas en las que suelen repasar la situación política nacional a lo largo del último año.
También son tradicionales las conversaciones sobre la actualidad, ya sin micrófonos, que los dirigentes políticos mantienen con los invitados y los periodistas en los "corrillos" que se forman tras la recepción.
La celebración del Día de la Constitución en el Congreso proseguirá en los dos días siguientes, el 7 y el 8 de diciembre, con las XV Jornadas de Puertas Abiertas, que permitirán a los ciudadanos conocer de primera mano el funcionamiento de la Cámara.
