El PSPV-PSOE presentará un recurso de casación ante la Sala Segunda del Tribunal Supremo contra el auto de la Sala de lo Civil y lo Penal del Tribunal Superior de Justicia de la Comunitat Valenciana que archiva la investigación valenciana del caso Gürtel, según el secretario general de los socialistas valencianos, Jorge Alarte.
En rueda de prensa, Alarte ha señalado que el PSPV, que ejercía la acusación popular en la causa abierta contra, entre otros cargos de la Generalitat y del PPCV, del jefe del Consell, Francisco Camps, "acata y respeta el auto y la actuación de los magistrados, aunque no lo comparte".
Según Alarte, el auto realiza una valoración jurídica de los hechos investigados por los que se abrió la causa pero no los "cuestiona", lo que en su opinión "demuestra" que Camps "ha mentido a Les Corts y a los valencianos", por lo que le ha exigido que asuma "responsabilidades políticas".
