Los sindicatos UGT y CCOO han convocado para el próximo martes día 13 un acto de apoyo al juez Baltasar Garzón en el salón de actos de la Facultad de Medicina de Madrid, en cuyo exterior se instalará una pantalla gigante que permita seguir la lectura de los manifiestos, según ha adelantado el secretario general de CCOO, Ignacio Fernández Toxo.
El acto de apoyo contará también con la presencia del ex alcalde de Barcelona, Pasqual Maragall, cuya Fundación agrupa a unas 200 personas que vendrán de Barcelona para denunciar la querella interpuesta contra el juez Garzón que finalmente se sentará en el banquillo de los acusados por investigar el franquismo.
Fernández Toxo: "Es muy importante que un país no sufra amnesia"
El ex jefe de la Fiscalía Anticorrupción, Carlos Jiménez Villarejo, o la escritora Almudena Grandes también figuran entre los posibles asistentes al acto. Además, los sindicatos han organizado una recogida de firmas, a través de las Fundaciones de UGT y CCOO de apoyo al juez.
"Si conseguimos que haya una movilización intensa y persistente contra esa querella, estoy convencido desde el máximo respeto a la Justicia -ha dicho el líder sindical- de que tendrán que tomar nota de que la ciudadanía esta en otra posición; no es compresible lo que esta sucediendo, debería quedar todo en un mal sueño", ha añadido Toxo.
Para el secretario general de CCOO "es un escándalo que organizaciones que en Alemania estarían ilegalizadas hoy de suceder esto en aquel país, estén a punto de sentar en el banquillo de los acusados a un juez por el hecho de intentar poner a la luz lo que sucedió después de la Guerra Civil en España".
"Es muy importante la memoria histórica, que un país no sufra amnesia, que no olvide lo que ha sucedido ni las lecciones de un pasado que no siempre fue presentable", ha considerado. Por ello, ha indicado que CCOO se quiere comprometer con "una sociedad no se sitúe en el olvido".
