Los fabricantes de automóviles (Anfac) advirtieron hoy que la industria automovilística deberá parar este jueves por completo su producción si no se resuelve la huelga de transportistas. Eso significa dejar de producir 13.000 vehículos, y tener a unas 70.000 personas que emplea el sector de brazos cruzados. Anfac alertó que las fábricas instaladas en España son filiales de grupos multinacionales que "tienen muy en cuenta las situaciones de conflictividad a la hora de arbitrar nuevas inversiones".
La planta de Volkswagen de Navarra paralizó este miércoles a mediodía toda la actividad. Nissan hizo lo mismo por la mañana, y 3.000 trabajadores de las fábricas de Zona Franca y Montcada, en Barcelona, se quedaron en casa. Ha dejado de fabricar 1.500 vehículos y la dirección anunció su intención de presentar un expediente de regulación de empleo (ERE) temporal, opción que no cuenta con el apoyo sindical.
Ford solicitó también un ERE que afectará a 3.000 trabajadores de Almussafes. Seat, en Martorell, también paró máquinas el martes. Ayer llegó algún camión. Eso permitió reiniciar el 20% de la actividad. Pero ya son unos 4.000 vehículos los que no han salido de fábrica.
Mercedes-Benz, en Vitoria, acumulaba dos días de paro. Lo que significa tener que pagar a 4.000 empleados sin producir ninguno de los 550 vehículos que se producen a diario. La dirección confiaba en que hoy por la tarde pueda recibirse el material.
