Agentes de la Guardia Civil han detenido hoy en Girona y Barcelona a una docena de personas por integrar una trama de fraude a subvenciones de la Unión Europea. Según han informado a Público fuentes de la investigación, las subvenciones desviadas habían sido concedidas al sector de la maquinaria agrícola.
Entre los detenidos se encuentran un sobrino de Lluis Prenafeta, el ex secretario de Presidencia del Gobierno de Jordi Pujol, imputado por varios delitos de corrupción en la trama Pretoria. Las fuentes consultadas negaron cualquier vinculación entre esa operación y la desarrollada hoy. La operación sigue abierta y puede extenderse a otras comunidades autónomas. La investigación corre a cargo de los agentes de Delitos Económicos de la Unidad Central Operativa de Guardia Civil.
