El grupo Ferrovial ha anunciado la creación de un nuevo puesto ejecutivo en la compañía para marcar la sucesión en su primera línea ejecutiva.
Con ese fin ha nombrado director general del grupo a Iñigo Meirás, actualmente máximo responsable de la actividad de aeropuertos del grupo. Asumirá "en un futuro próximo" las labores de consejero delegado, actualmente en manos de Joaquín Ayuso, informa Susana R. Arenes.
El descontento del Del Pino con la gestión de la compañía en la que participa el consejero delegado ha sido patente en los últimos meses, según fuentes cercanas del sector.
"Esto no quiere decir que el señor Ayuso abandone la compañía, tendrá ocupaciones de mayor nivel en un futuro próximo", ha señalado Del Pino.
Por otro lado, sí que ha habido un deseo de Ayuso de alejarse de la gestión por razones personales.
Sin embargo, un portavoz de la empresa asegura que no hay ningún malestar del presidente con el segundo ejecutivo, y que éste seguirá siendo su mano derecha.
Ferrovial presentó unas pérdidas de 838 millones de euros en 2008, la mayor de todas las empresas que cotizan en el Ibex-35.
Meirás, un ejecutivo muy reputado dentro del grupo, reportará por ahora directamente al consejero delegado y tendrá responsabilidad sobre los miembros del comité de dirección y altos ejecutivos que no se encuentren bajo la dependencia del consejero delegado.
Una vez finalizado el actual "período de transición", Ayuso seguirá ligado al consejo de administración del grupo.
