Los españoles Oscar Hernández y Marcel Granollers han superado hoy la primera ronda del "Masters 1000" de Montecarlo, puntuable para ATP, mientras que Alberto Martín quedó apeado de la competición.
Oscar Hernández, procedente de la fase previa, batió al francés Julien Benneteau, por 6-4 y 6-4, mientras que Granollers sufrió para doblegar al argentino José Acasuso, al que acabó imponiéndose por 7-6 (4) y 7-6 (2).
Por su parte, Alberto Martín, que también provenía de la ronda de calificación, fue superado por el rumano Victor Hanescu por 6-2 y 6-3.
A Oscar Hernández le aguardará un difícil reto ya que se medirá al serbio Novak Djokovic, actual número tres del ránking mundial, al que hasta ahora nunca se había enfrentado.
El próximo adversario de Granollers será el vencedor de la eliminatoria que enfrentará al argentino David Nalbandian y al francés Paul-Henri Mathieu.
