Las ganancias Philips Electronics superaron con facilidad las expectativas en el último trimestre ante el aumento de la demanda de televisores e iluminación, lo que satisfizo a los inversores, que restaron importancia a unas lóbregas perspectivas para la compañía.
"Fantásticos resultados. Tengo lágrimas en los ojos", dijo el analista de ING Jan Hein de Vroe, manteniendo un rating de "compra" en las acciones de la empresa a un precio objetivo de 23 euros.
"Superan las expectativas en todos los frentes", añadió.
Las ganancias del cuarto trimestre antes de intereses, impuestos y amortización (EBITA) alcanzaron los 662 millones de euros.
Esto se compara con la media de 502 millones de un sondeo de Reuters y los 26 años del año anterior.
Las ventas del cuarto trimestre continuaron mejorando respecto al tercer trimestre, a 7.260 millones de euros desde los 5.600 millones de euros, y batió la expectativa media de los analistas de 7.000 millones de euros.
